ACE Schools Plymouth AP Academy (part of ACE Schools Multi Academy Trust) was formally set up on 1st June 2016 with the aim of building on the solid foundation established by the previous PRU. ACE Schools Plymouth operates from at least twelve sites around Devon & Cornwall and provides education and support services throughout the community to support pupils to access education in schools, community centers, medical facilities or their own homes.  

ACE Schools Plymouth, part of the ACE Schools Trust, are looking for an Exams Officer/Senior Administrator to support our young people in the taking of examinations across our sites, whilst with us at ACE Schools Plymouth. As well as this, you will be responsible for overseeing the team of administrators who are based in the main reception.

The successful candidate should be well organised and have excellent communication skills with the ability to work to deadlines. You should have experience in a similar role and/or experience of working in a school environment.

You will be responsible for the organisation and the administration of exams taken by our young people by liaising with examination boards, teachers, parents and other schools in order to facilitate these. You will need the ability to prioritise busy workloads, especially during exams season, and be able to communicate effectively with people at all levels.

ACE Schools Plymouth operates from at least fourteen different locations within Devon and Cornwall which provides education and support services throughout the community to support pupils to access education in schools, community centre’s, medical facilities or their own homes.   

Our pupils have failed to thrive in mainstream secondary and special schools or are returning from out of County placements.   Every child has a high level of support often including one to one support and bespoke timetables following thematic learning experiences. A wide range of personalised learning in and out of the classroom is designed to engage the student, build resilience and provide the foundation for rapid academic progress. We work very closely with parents and carers and many other support agencies to ensure that the child’s education is paramount.

We are looking for a number of Teaching Assistant for our North Hill base. The successful candidates should have experience of working with young people who have complex needs as well as their own resilience to support our young people on a daily basis. They will be professional in their approach and organised in their working. For this post we do require you to have a full driving license.

Ace Tiverton Special School, part of the ACE Schools Multi Academy Trust, are looking for a Pastoral Support Assistant to support the Pastoral Lead and to support the children at our new school.  You will be supportive and play a large part in pastoral support of the pupils attending the academy, and supporting families to parent their children. As part of your role, you will also be required to undertake Managing Actual and Potential Aggression (MAPA) training if you don’t already hold this certificate as part of your induction. You will be required to work within KS3 and KS4, and possibly younger pupils, within ACE Tiverton  and the wider community.

We are in the process of building a dynamic, enthusiastic and resilient team of specialist staff who are passionate about providing learning opportunities for our young people. To enhance our provision further we would like to recruit a Learning Outside the Classroom Facilitator, this role will sit within our Pastoral Team but provide weekly opportunities for all our young people to develop confidence and skills in the outdoor environment. Starting small, we will work togerher to build a thriving and engaged outside curriculum that students enjoy and achieve within.

The successful candidate should have experience of working with young people who have complex needs as well as their own resilience to support our young people on a daily basis. They will be professional in their approach and organised in their working. Skills, knowledge and confidence in the outdoors environment is key but willingness to work onsite with our available art, technology and gardening resources is also important. Supporting our young people to care for our developing collection of class pets is also a feature of this role.

ACE Schools Multi Academy Trust (MAT) was formally set up on 1st June 2016 with the aim of building on the solid foundation established when a number of complementary education provisions throughout Plymouth were brought together under a single umbrella called ACE Schools.

As an alternative education provider, and pupil referral unit, ACE Schools has developed a great reputation both locally and nationally for the work that it does.
